Can't delete a file

Hey,
i am trying to delete a torrent from a folder and it says that it can't find this element, it's not where it was suposed to be (c/downloads) and that i should confim the place of that thing and then try again. I don't get it because i haven't moved the thing and it's wright were it was.ANY IDEAS?

Have you tried a reboot to see if that has any effect?

Yes i have.I have also tried moving it and changing its name but nothing.
It's not really important but it's getting on my nerves

Oh Good it did'n help.Well it helped me get to the safe mode but even there i can not delete it. I'm going to throw my laptop and maybe that will solve it.
I even downloaded the torrent again and deleted it and it desapers for a second and then there it is again. i scaned my computer and it's not a virus. anyway thanks for bothering.Bye

One thing that keeps going through my thinking is to uninstall the d'l client; though that may not solve it either and depending on how involved you are with that, it's not really a good option.

Right click on the file, goto properties. See if its read only and system. If yes, uncheck it. Then try to delete. If it still won't delete, try disabling the services that are from the program that created it.

I am having the same issue. I deleted a bunch of old files but one is not going away. I get the message

"could not find this item"
"this is no longer located in C:/. Verify the items location and try again."

I have renamed, I have even moved it.... but it comes up each time the same.
