Windows Vista Home Premium x64

Side-by-side configuration is incorrect.

ASUS G50vt-x5
Windows Vista™ Home Premium (6.0, Build 6001) Service Pack 1
(6001.vistasp1_gdr.080917-1612)

I've read all the topics, tried all the solutions.

It started when I uninstalled a game called Deco Online as well as WoW
Trial.
There were no uninstall icons so I used the Programs and Features list
in the Control Panel to uninstall them.
The wierd thing after uninstalling them is that the icon for Deco
didn't dissapear and I was unable to delete it. It wouldn't let me run
Avast, and after deleting the folders that remained from Deco and WoW, I
restarted.

The icon dissapeared but I was left with the side-by-side error. I
cannot run any x32/x86 programs, only x64 as far as I'm aware. I've
downloaded all the different programs from windows (C++ Redistributes)
and such. But get the side-by-side error when trying to run them. I'm
really stuck.

I'd be really greatful. I just don't want to have to reinstall
everything and back everything up.

Thanks.
Chunk
