popping out every 10 minutes

Greetings:

First, let me say, I can't wait until SEVEN comes out. My theory is Vista is to Seven as ME is to XP. Yet still I'm using the Vista OS that came on my year old DELL computer.

Current issue:

Once every ten minutes, while playing World of Warcraft, or watching a video in WMP, my computer decides to window out to my desktop view. I wish it wouldn't do that.

I have my screensaver OFF. My monitor set to power off after 20minutes of idle. Hard drive never. I thought it might be my keyboard, as I have mashed my left Ctrl key (Push to talk on Ventrilo). I got a new, out-of-the-box keyboard, and it did the same thing.

And, I noticed that it does happen every 10 minutes. I've run spyware, malware, and virus detects. Nothing there.

What should I check next?

Danke!

Its probably a heat issue. Download and then run this : CPUID then take a screenshot and save it.

Play your game and when it crashes to the desktop open HWmonitor immediately and take a screenshot and save it.

If you do as i said above you'll have two screenshots which you can post here showing us your idle and load temps.

If it's happening exactly every ten minutes it wouldn;t be a heat issue it would be a software issue.

I would check Event Viewer.... as see what or if there is apattern that's occuring. You should be able to find the culprit there.

Check for malware or viruses.

Well, I had the annoying "are you sure you want to run your program" thing turned off (UAC). I allowed the UAC to be bitchy again, and the 10min pop stopped.

WHY DO MSN PROGRAMMERS AND DEVELOPERS AIM FOR THE MOST STUPID OF USERS?

So, for now, I'll tell the computer that the game I play EVERY DAY is yet again something I trust and want to run.

Thanks for your attempt at help... I will keep this website bookmarked for when I have more annoyances with vista.

not if. when.
