Solved How could I find my application folder again.

Hello everybody,
I use Vista Home Premium, recently I found out that I lost my application folder, that means I can not access to Local...
I mean C:\User\My Name\ (application data)..... this one in (...) is gone, instead I just saw something like this : adffec4f-864f-49d7-af01-.....
I did download more software in my laptop but I do not know how to fix this problem, please help!!!

Hello Joe,

The C:\Users\User-Name\AppData folder is a hidden system folder. Double check to make sure that you have Show hidden files, folders, and drives selected in Folder options.

Hello Brink,

I did check Folder options in Control Panel and Properties of Users and My name folder. Those boxes were uncheck before, the problem is still there.
I hope you will help me to find a solution.

Hello Brink,
The box Show hidden files, I always let it checked, but nothing shows up, now I found out since I installed the Software Paragon Drive Back Up, this software is the main thing in my Application folder, I installed this from the web : www.giveawayoftheday.com.
Is there another way to move those files to another directory?

Joe, you might try a System Restore using a restore point dated before you had this problem to see if may be able to fix it for you.

Hello Brink,
I did remove that software, and did make system restore drive C:
System restore failed, even though I have enough space 37 GB.
I do not know how to fix in Registry for this folder.

What are you trying to find in that folder?

Whatever it is may be in a Shadow copy created by system restore.

Shadowexplorer is a free app. you might like to try.

Hopefully you will find whatever it is you are looking for.

I use the Paragon program myself, and don't see how it would have caused loss of anything else in the Appdata folder.

Thank you so much, I 've got it, I downloaded and opened, now I can see my application folder again. But it just shows when I use this software to open, if I tried to open it from the directory, nothing happened.

You will need right click on the files and export them while using ShadowExplorer to restore it back to the directory.

Hope this helps.
