WMP media-library database corrupt

Almost every week I have it that the media-library database of WMP gets corrupt.
I throw out everything in the map Users/benergy/AppData/Local/Microsoft/MediaPlayer
And let WMP build a fresh database to have the same problem again a couple of days later.
I'm running Vista64x, all updates are installed.

Anyone some ideas about it???

Try excluding that path from your anti-virus scanner's settings. In other words, configure the AV to ignore files in that location.

Whenever files in a particular location are getting intermittently but consistently corrupted, yet almost everything else around them is fine, either the app that writes the files is buggy or there is interference - frequently that's the AV.

Thanx for your reply.:)

Just did what you advised.
As its not a daily problem I can only see in time if this works.
Will leave a note if this helps.
