Desktop Shortcut to Linksys Shared Network not working anymore

I am getting an error message "the drive or network connection that the shortcut refers to is unavailable.. make sure disk is properly inserted
or network resource is available, then try again"

I am using a new laptop with Windows Vista, and am trying to acess a shared network via wireless Linksys router in the office next to mine. WHen I click the shortcut from desktop to the shared drive it doesnt work. I just came back from a trip and before I left, the connection was fine. The person next door, with the Linksys in his office, can access the shared folders on the Linksys network. My computer is telling me that I am connected to the shared network and the signal strength is excellent, but the shortcut is not working.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks!!!!!:D

try resetting the router/or restarting your PC- unplug the power cord for a few minutes. if the pc is off or sleeping that the shared folders are on, you cannot connect.

If others can connect, but you cant. then It is your PC with the issue. Check the network and sharing center. Try a "repair" operation.

Thanks I just tried resetting the router and restarting to no avail. I appear to be connected to the network router but the shared folders are not visible or accessible...

Either you have a limited connection, or should try this:

note- if you do not see the networked devices, then you are not connected. (if you do not see the network, then the key may have been changed in your absence)
Start> click "network"
