| Vista Home Prem. 64bit | Trying to get printer to work I have 3 laptops all with vista (2hp's and a gateway. I got the printer working on all but the gateway. When I try to start the printer It says cannot open because of the print spooler. But the spooler service is running on Auto. Can someone please help me? Thank you. |

| Vista Ultimate 64-bit | Re: Trying to get printer to work This may or may not help. On the Gateway, go to control panel, then printers. Make any printer except the desired printer the default printer (I use the Microsoft XPS Document Writer). When you want to print a document just select the desired printer from the popup dialog that appears at print time. |
