I read in web that Task Scheduler version in Windows vista /W2k8 is version 2.0. I have a machine with W2k8 installed. I checked the Task Scheduler version in about dialog . It says 1.0. why is this so. does it mean i still have version 1.0 of task scheduler ? Where can i see the 2.0 version of task scheduler ? Can anybody clarify my doubt. Thanks in advance.

hi, thanks for reply.

I am not facing any issues in task scheduling from task scheduler UI

I am trying to use a scheduling application developed completeley using Windows Task Scheduler API's in W2k3 in W2k8... i-e porting the application to W2k8.

Though main task scheduling functionality work fine, I observed some problems i-e the setting "If task is not scheduled to run again, delete it Immediately" does not work from this application.

So, i wanted to be clear on the version of task scheduler i am using... both UI, build etc.. to troubleshoot, google etc :)

You'd be better off describing the actual problem, including API references and code snippets if necessary. Unless MSDN lists any of those APIs as deprecated, there should be nothing to "port" anyway.
