    Typing explorer.exe to start windows

    Hi guys.Can some1 plz help me out here. I have searched the forum and have found a bit of help, but not completely.
    The problem that i am having is that when i log on to my Laptop after entering mu password, it does not start windows and just shows me a black screen mith my mouse cursor.
    When i Start windows using "explorer.exe" its fine. But i got to do this everytime i start my computer.
    I also tried the "regedit" which i found help on the forum and that only has "explorer.exe" on it, but it still fails to start up on windows automatically.
    Please help.

    try this

    Download SDFix and save it to your Desktop.

    Double click SDFix.exe and it will extract the files to %systemdrive%
    (Drive that contains the windows Directory, typically C:\SDFix)

    Please then reboot your computer in Safe Mode by doing the following :
    • Restart your computer
    • After hearing your computer beep once during startup, but before the Windows icon appears, tap the F8 key continually;
    • Instead of Windows loading as normal, the Advanced Options Menu should appear;
    • Select the first option, to run Windows in Safe Mode, then press Enter.
    • Choose your usual account.

    • Open the extracted SDFix folder and double click RunThis.cmd to start the script.
    • Type Y to begin the cleanup process.
    • It will remove any Trojan Services and Registry Entries that it finds then prompt you to press any key to Reboot.
    • Press any Key and it will restart the PC.
    • When the PC restarts the Fixtool will run again and complete the removal process then display Finished, press any key to end the script and load your desktop icons.

    Let me know the result

    Hi there. Sorry for the late reply.
    Thaks for your help, but i had to send the Laptop in the same day that i posted this thread. As eventually in was just coming up with a blue screen.
    Now its back up and running except that its not locating my USB flash drives that used to work on this Laptop before. It asks me for the cd that came with it and flash sticks don't come with any disks.
