Problem with Windows Photo Gallery

Hi - When I upload photos from my camera to Windows PhotoGallery, every photo shows up twice !! I have to manually go through and delete all the duplicates. Any thoughts as to why this might be happening ? I only click once on "Upload".
An associated question is this : Even after I've gone through and deleted all the duplicates, invariably some photos uploaded on a previous date (even months ago) will suddenly be duplicated and some even triplicated. This is frustrating to say the least, and I wish I knew what I was doing wrong.
Any ideas will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

No way to know if its the camera or Gallery.

However, you could copy the photos from the camera to another part of your hard drive. Use Windows Explorer.

If they don't duplicate then, its Windows Photo Gallery doing it.

If they do duplicate, it has to do with your camera.

When you test things like this, you want to take one part of it out of the process. This helps troubleshoot what is happening.

Thanks, JimJoe.
I also upload the photos to Adobe Photoshop and they only appear once. So it seems like the problem is with Windows Photo Gallery, no ?
Any ideas ?
Again, thanks.

You might check for an update to Windows photo gallery. if there isn't one, then switch to Adobe Photoshop.
