Vista Password locked

My 4 year old son turned on the computer when no one was looking and typed in various random entries into the password box and now we’re locked out! How can I reset this?
I would be grateful to know if anyone can help with this.
Thanks!

If you are having another user account with administrative previlege, You can login with that account and unlock the user account through user accounts in control pannel.

Otherwise wait for sometime it will be unlocked after the account lockout time expired.

Hope this will help

Re: Vista Password locked

Hello Sid,

In addition to Delphin's post, you can use the tutorial below as an example, but uncheck the Account is locked out option for the user account that is locked out from within another administrator account.

User Account - Hide

You may be able to boot into Safe Mode to see if you can access the built-in Adminitstrator account to do this as well.

Hope this helps,
Shawn
