Windows DVD Maker For VISTA x32 Fix!!

Ok I think I figured out the easiest fix with no downloading go here go there type stuff, it's plain and simple, it might not work for you but it sure as hell works for me.

Problem: 1. DVD Maker gets to 0.0% - 0.1% to encoding FREEZE.
Problem: 2. Can't even CTRL+ALT+DLT, Hard boot everytime = bad for computer :(
Problem: 3. I think it's combined effort of the DVD drive and DVD Maker together.

Solution: 1. Trick the computer! No seriously I just think I found a way around it for now.
Solution: 2. Right click DVD Drive - Erase this disc.
Solution: 3. Right click DVD Drive - Format.. Yes, format disc with the date box thingy. Let it format. No specific date or anything is required just hit ok, I do.
Solution: 4. Right click DVD Drive - Erase this disc again when format is complete.
Solution: 5. Ready to Begin Burn.
Solution: 6. *Optional*- Playing with the burn speed in the DVD Maker options, from fastest to slowest might help to if it still presents problems.

Note: I have to do this every time I burn a DVD, doesn't take long and has worked every time I've done it.

Note: The reason I erase, format, then erase again is because "erase this disc" just didn't, and still doesn't ever go away, even after all that, and I think it's just not registering to my computer that the disc is empty so DVD Maker goes into this like infinite loop of trying to burn with stuff already on it, when in fact there isn't.

I know it sounds silly, but I swear if you do it in that order no matter what your computer is saying, if you restart, erase restart etc. Every time you boot up, until the problem is indefenitely fixed, I suggest erase format erase every time. At first I thought it was when I tryed replacing my system32.dll file for a desktop theme. So I did a restore and DVD Maker worked once, then just stopped all together.

Then I tryed Uninstalling my DVD drive once(on accident haha), still nothing. So then I thought it was the DVD's themselves cause I burn and erase them all the time but that wasn't it. The only thing I haven't tryed is using the Windows Repair CD, but for now with this I believe to be the most effecient fix for those without the Vista Repair CD, or has already tryed with no luck, until then, I'll keep searching for an update or ultimately reformat.

Another side note I didn't notice these issues until an earlier Vista security update a phew days prior, so we'll see where that leads me until then.

Good luck and hope this works for anyone else out there that hasn't found a solution yet.
