Contacts Gadget Problems

I decided to try out the sidebar Contacts gadget but can't figure out how to add contacts entries directly into the gadget.

Q1: Do you have to add contacts in the Vista Contacts "folder" or can you add them in the gadget?

Q2: Does anyone know if the widely publicized security vulnerability of the Contacts gadget has been fixed?

Thanks.

Which contacts gadget are you using? Is it one of these? Windows Live Gallery

If you’re using the one that comes recommended when you hit the + button on your sidebar, then yes, you must enter the contacts into your contact folder.

Sure thing. Sorry there isn't an "easier" way to do this. However, entering those contacts in the contacts folder gives you a lot of options throughout Vista for using them.
