Problem Reports and Solutions

Can anyone tell me what the log file name is for all the problems reported? I am about to re-image a Toshiba, but want to print out the problems that were identified for the customer to see.

There area number of incompatible devices that have been used which have obviously de-stabilised the OP SYS.

Thanks but I didn't mean to view the log file I want to copy the actual log file name and the print it out.

WERCON just displays it on the screen as though you had accessed it through:

\Control Panel\Problem Reports and Solutions...

Any other thoughts?

Sorry :D, but if thats the case then do the following-
Open up run, type in "eventvwr.msc" which opens up the event viewer and then you can copy and paste the log and print it out;

OR

  1. Click the Start button.
  2. Click Control Panel.
  3. Click System and Maintenance.
  4. Click Administrative Tools.
  5. Double-click Event Viewer.

Well I think I got there using your first method (Start>Run>eventvwr.msc) but couldn't work the other.

Do you know whether there is just a file in the \System32(?)folder or similar that has this information (or perhaps it is stored in a fairly unreadable format)?

The first method looks like I have the correct place but the data doesn't look the same as the \Control Panel\Problem Reports and Solutions\View Problem History....
which shows you: Product, Problem, Date and Status.

Anyway I have paged my way through the history and Ctrl+Alt+PrtScn each page and put it into a WordPad document which is okay - thanks for your help.
