New Build, need slight help

Hey guys, some of you probably remember a topic I made several weeks ago about a build I was making.

Some situations have put me in a corner, and tightened my budget.

So, I came up with a new build, and being my first build, Im not an expert.

Could you check this build, recommend what to change, or if anything is not compatible with something else and why. Thank you so much in advance!

Motherboard: EVGA 113-M2-E113 AM2+/AM2
Processor: AMD Phenom 9600 2.3 GHz 95W - Quad.
Hard Drive: 1TB SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5"
CD-Drive: LITE-ON Note: I am getting two, so I can have two CD's in, (Yes, I'm too lazy to change them.)
Power Supply: Corsair 750W
Graphics: EVGA 1GB 256-bit NVIDIA GeForce GTS 250
Case: Sunbeam Silent Storm
Adapter: 12V 8pin to 12V 4pin. (Motherboard has an 8pin CPU Power connector, and power supply has only a 4pin.)

Thanks Guys!

Hi iTragedy..... ;)

its looking pretty good, might i suggest THIS motherboard & THIS chip to bundle with the rest of your list.....the ''intel'' setup will out perform the ''AMD'' by a fair bit

i see you listed no RAM so i would suggest THIS , its very cheap so if you wanted to push the boat out you could buy 2 sets & run 8GB..

Skunk: I would definitely use Intel, but as I stated in my first post, I am tight on cash, and I can't say, (I don't think anyone can) that Intel is cheap.

AMD is cheaper, and I will upgrade later when I have more money, but as I need a decent processor right now, I will choose AMD, and later upgrade possibly.

Sorry! Forgot to put up RAM, here it is: RAM

Pizza: Haha, sadly, my board doesn't support Phenom II :/.
It supports Phenom, Athlon64 x2, Athlon 64, and Sempron.

I am new, and might be wrong, but I'm just following the specs and expected it to say Phenom II if it supports it, or is that what just "Phenom" indicates?

By the way, How do I know how much Wattage my Motherboard needs/uses?

It doesn't say on the page.

I need to know if a 450W power supply is enough to power all components.

iTragedy....I went through the same belt tightening as you with my build and was also looking at the AMD alternatives. After doing a lot of research I realized I wasn't going to be able to do what I wanted with a low end AMD based system..Gaming! So, I just held off for a few months (6) until I could actually get what I wanted and I'm glad I did. Take a look at my system specs. I can run just about any game out there with this setup and it is very stable. I built this for just under $900.00 and it will run games like Crysis on high settings with no problems.

Are you building for a gaming rig and if so what games? Skunksmash is right about intel. If you can wait it out you'll be much happier with your build.

That board works for me, in fact check my specs. Just threw together a budget build for myself using the same one, and have no complaints about it at all so far. Would like to have gone for a 790FX or GX instead of the 780G, but the price difference was too much. I mated it up with the 7750 BE ( which is only $60.00 right now on Newegg). May not be the latest and greatest, but it will definitely get the job done. That and it says you a few bucks now, or you can put it the savings towards something else in the build.

You also have the added benefit of being able to drop in a Phenom II in the future when you can afford it, or the prices come down.

hm.... i would get less ram and more cpu...... 4gigs of ram will take a whole lot
but that board looks great and so does the cpu.....
:D
but if you can do with 4gigs of ram.... do that instead :D
as a better cpu is only..... 50 more...
and ram wise.. look at the patriot memory and see what you think :)
viper series is about the best ram i have ever used :D
