| Vista Ultimate x86 SP1 | Vista vs Windows 7 - Video Preview on Details Pane Shawn I was wondering if you know if there is a way to improve Vista's Video Preview on the Details Pane. The problem I see is that Vista shows the very 1st second of video, while Windows 7 shows the 4th. That's why many of the video previews on the details pane show a black screen on vista instead of actual video. ![]() ![]() If anyone else has the answer, I will be really grateful. | Vista Ultimate x86 SP1 | Re: Vista vs Windows 7 - Video Preview on Details Pane For Vista SP1 1. Download and install Win 7 Codecs. 2. Download and install CCCP Codecs. (don't use Klite codecs) * Make sure you set for thumbnail previews when installing. * Go to settings after installing and make sure you use the haali options (instead of microsoft or gabest) with the W7 codecs and for the CCCP codecs use the default settings (there is an option there to reset these codecs to their default values. Make sure you hit that.) 3. Clear Thumbnail Cache (with CCleaner). 4. Restart. |
