I have just noticed today thet even though i have told my computer not to index any files the searchindexer process still uses 21,352K of ram, i know that much might not be much but wen u got only 1.5GB of ram running vista every little bit is needed(expecially wen u r installing 7 in virtual
)
is there any way to get rid of it or should i just turn it off in the services menu ?

Hello Braydon,
I would just stop and disable the Windows Search service to completely disable the index. That should remove that process as well.
