| Vista Home Premium | PLEASE help forgot admin password and cant log in I CAN NOT remember my admin password. Here are the steps Ive taken so far. I NEED HELP! I press F8 upon start up. Select Restore. Select US and then the options are my name, admin, and guest. But the guest and admin are locked and the name is the system administrator but I forgot the password. I try going into safe mode upon start up but it still asks for my password. I can not reset my password and need help!! I need to take my computer with me for study abroad and need the system but don't care about the information on the computer I would like to restore it but don't know how since I don't remember the admin password. Please Help! |

| Vista Home Premium x64 SP2 / Windows 7 RC x64 | Re: PLEASE help forgot admin password and cant log in Search out and download a program called "passfix" which will allow you to reset your admin password. Alternatively you can use a linux boot disk to do the same thing. |
