Hey guys, i'm having a little problem with SFC.
I keep doing sfc /scannow and it comes back saying "some files are still corrupted check cbs.log blabla"
so I check out cbs and indeed the hashes don't match up.
The file in question is Tcpmon.ini
No other problem.
How can I fix the corruption of tcpmon?
I've tried several things, including dragging and dropping C:\Windows\winsxs\amd64_microsoft-windows-p..rtmonitor-tcpmonini_31bf3856ad364e35_6.0.6001.18000_none_2e976e2e5fa70844\tcpmon.ini (what i presume to be a valid copy of the file since sfc compares it's hash to the problem file)
to C:\windows\system32\tcpmon.ini (which is the corrupted file)
Access is denied and I can't do a thing. I've tried taking ownership and giving myself full access but its still not working, says its in use. I even tried it in safe mode. No luck..
Any ideas would be appreciated.
BTW I just recently updated to SP2, so maybe its something to do with the sp1 file being compared to sp2?
Who knows, but please help.
