Hello Guys,

Please help me to solve this problem.
I have two(2) Western Digital VelociRaptor 150Gb HDDs
I have enabled RAID in BIOS. Connected both drives into GSATA controller 0 (0/1).
I'm trying to install Vista Ultimate 64 bit SP1 from original DVD.
Before copying files window, windows sees both drives as one (286Gb). So RAID-0 seems to be working. Then.
When it gets to "Copying Files (0%)" stage it displays the Error Code 0x80070057.
I have formatted both drives on another computer and have replaced SATA cables. I'm still getting same error.

Please help.

Have you tried to brake RAID-0, connect one drive and install?

I had a very similare problem installing to a RAID 10. I wound up using a single disk on the IDE port to do the install and then I could install on the RAID. I'm not sure why, but it worked.

Updated BIOS and updated drivers seem to be the most critical factors here - but I'd also suspect that the motherboard drivers would have an impact on this.

Finally, most of the errors with this code number are connection issues with Windows Update - so I'd then wonder about your internet connection and the compatibility of the network card.
