Unable to install Ultimate 64bit on RAID-0

I've created RAID-0 volume containing 2x150Gb WD VelociRaptor HDDs. Before copying files windows sees it as one volume (279Gb). I partitioned it as single volume and formatted it.
But when i proceed further to copying files stage it displays the error
"Windows could not determine if this computer contains a valid system volume"

I have tried uploading RAID drivers. Didn't work. Same error.

If you are uploading RAID drivers, are you sure that you are uploading the correct ones? There are 2 listed. You might try downloading both to see which you require.

yes, I format it and partition it within installation process. I'm using original DVD
Vista Ultimate SP1 64-bit
I have tried both drivers. One is for Intel SATA and the other for Gigabyte SATA (GSATA).

you could try to install it out of raid and than once it is done installing you could switch it back over to raid. a buddy of mine had to do that for his machine once.

also could be a internet connection issue, if you can't connect to the update server it could be messing up the install for you.

do you have another copy of vista to try to install with or no? if you do you could tyr that disc and see if gives you the same error

I solved this mistery. This is how:

on my MB there are two types of SATA connectors SATA and GSATA (Gigabyte SATA) at first my two HDDs were connected to Controller 0 (0/1) at GSATA, and when trying to install VUx64 i was getting 0x80070057 error and unable to format error at same time.
Then, I tried to plug both HDDs into SATA sockets (mind you i assembled RAID-0) in BIOS in both cases. Anyways, during the installation i got different error: "Windows could not determine if this computer contains a valid system volume".
I tried loading drivers for GSATA and Intel SATA, didn't help. I tried it again, reboot, tried again. Also before installation i deleted and formatted my RAID-0 with every try.
Then one time, it worked. it went to Installation, Copying files stage and started copying files from DVD. To this moment i have no idea how it worked and why it worked.

This is truly a mistery of Windows Vista Ultimate 64-bit SP1.
