HELP! I'm running Vista Home 64bit, that I installed on a computer that I built. I tried changing folder permissions, logging is as administrator to the cmd prompt, even under SAFE Mode, and am still denied. I don't need typography in Chinese, Thai, Urdu, or anything I haven't selected.

There is nothing in the MS Knowledge Base that covers this problem, and I'm beginning to have some concerns that MS is hiding some reporting applets, or worse in the bloated files. Why else would they deny an administrator ability to delete them? It is the very first time I have been denied permission to delete files that are not (supposedly) used by the OS. There are quite a few of these on my HD.

I posted this in another thread and got some wise-ass spouting comment about the superiority of Linux, but I'm serious here. I don't want this garbage on my hard drive, and really want to know if anyone has debugged these font files? There are many of them and they take up about 8 - 10 times the space of any font file I have ever seen. If anyone has any insight here, please let me know!

Since I am a photographer, and since CS2 has already significantly improved my daily workflow, especially in processing raw files, the upgrade, at its price, was a bargain.

CS2 all but eliminates two or three third party applications I was using.

While I don't care for the online "peering over my shoulder", Adobe does this to make money, and people do steal the software, just like they have stolen my pictures from time to time.

Frankly, I wish I could aford the protections Adobe has on their software for the pictures I regularly send off to cyberspace.

In the mean time, Adobe helps me make more money.

What else is there?

Pooran; I'm not sure how your reply relates to the initial post regarding deleting fonts.

I just want to add some of the names of these fonts, from my /Windows/Fonts folder:

batang.ttc
gulim.ttc
mingliu.ttc
mingliub.ttc
msjh.ttc
msjhbd.ttc
msincho.ttc
msyh.ttf
msyhbd.ttf
simfang.ttf
simsun.ttf
simsunb.ttf

Anyone who has a similar issue, or a working solution, please post a reply.
