Vista Home didn't boot up after selecting no paging file

I desperately need help. On my laptop with Vista Home - 32 bit i was trying to install Ubuntu to dual boot & tried to shrink the C: drive but unfortunately it was not letting me do so. (It could only be shrinked by 30MB by default).

I went to the virtual memory tab & Unchecked Automatically manage paging file size for all drives. Highlighted the C drive, select No paging file, and then click the Set button. I didn't have any other drive on my computer to enable paging for.

After restarting i don't see anything on the screen. I do get initial boot up but after that no response.

I tried :

1. Downloaded bootable cd for Vista & tried to boot from the CD even that doesn't work.
2. I can only go the BIOS options nothing further.

I went through google & this forum but didn't find much help. All your inputs are appreciated. Thanks in advance.
