ISO File Type Association?

Hi everybody
I have Virtual CD installed on my computer and it was handling .iso files and a very useful feature it had, it caused some options to appear in the context menu of the file (i.e. right clicking on the file) to be able to directly insert the .iso file into a virtual drive.
But then I installed WinRAR and regretfully (!!!) I chose WinRAR to associate with .iso files ... and I lost those useful options in the context menu.
Can anybody help me to have those options again?
Thank you ...

Re: ISO File Type Association?

Right click on the iso file and if the program is in the default area pick it if not just click on browse and go where the program is istalled and make sure the box is checked.

Re: ISO File Type Association?

Hello Farzadmf,

You might check the settings in Virtual CD to see if it has an option to check to set it back as that default program for ISO files. Be sure to also unset this in WinRAR. If not, then reinstalling the program to perform a repair install may fix the issue.

Hope this helps,
Shawn

Re: ISO File Type Association?

Thanks everybody for your replies, but the problem is that the option(s) I want to be added are not related to the default program associated with .iso files; in fact the option(s) I'm looking for was being displayed in the context menu when I would right-click on the file and this menu, I think, has nothing to do with the default program that double-clicking on the file opens.
