Desktop Move Error HELP

Hi, I recently think I moved my desktop to my username folder and my documents sub folder. This has wiped clean some folders I had on my desktop containing all my music.
This music is still available though in the newly created folders. I wish to restore these files back to their original place because now it is taking up more memory than before. I have tried to delete these new files but this created bigger problems (further deletion/no desktop!). I have attached screenshots of the new folders, if any further detail is required don't hesitate to ask as i'm not exactly a computer laureate.
I am running on vista home premium 32bit.
Thanks,
Jon.

Hello Jon, and welcome to Vista Forums.

Your default locations for these folders may not be set correctly anymore since they may have been moved there. Backup anything that you do not want to lose in these folders to be safe, then double check using OPTION THREE in the tutorial below to see if they are set with their default location. Afterwards, delete these folders with their duplicates and restart the computer. It may take a couple of restarts to fully apply. :)

Hope this helps,
Shawn

i didn't have previous backups, i know error!
Ok i'm creating backups now and will attempt option three thanks!

mmm unfortunately that didn't work! for some strange reason my backup drive is full as well. Oh dear!
I'm going to save my music to an exterior hard drive for safekeeping and take it for some fine tuning, I think I may have fiddled a step too far!
Thanks for all your help though!
