Vista x64 alt tab/program freeze

I just installed Vista x64 yesterday on my system that I've been running 32bit on, ever since I have been having about 30 seconds of lag whenever I open a program or try to alt tab out of Warhammer Online. I would have posted this in the gaming section but it happens with most if not all of my programs. I have updated my video driver and directx. I have also disabled user account control, and installed SP2.

Here is my computers specs
----------------------------
PROCESSOR - Intel® Core™2 Duo Processor P8600
OPERATING SYSTEM - Genuine Windows Vista® Home Premium (SP2, 64-bit)
MEMORY - 4GB PC3-8500 DDR3 1066MHz SDRAM
HARD DRIVE - 320GB HDD (7200rpm)
OPTICAL DRIVE - DVD-SuperMulti (+/-R double layer) with Labelflash™ drive
WIRELESS - Intel® Wi-Fi Link 5100AGN (802.11a/g/n)
VIDEO CARD - 512MB NVIDIA® GeForce® 9700M GTS graphics

I also installed x64 up from x86. I am also having problems. Instead of 30 second lags, I get freeze ups that the pc never recover from. I not any helper here, but as a user with the same problem, I recommend you go back to vista 32bit.

Hi delimit and vistee

If you click the link in my signature that will show you how to set up vista for speed so you have no lag/freeze issues.

I would also recommend that you update your bios if possible. Your current bios may be optimized for x86 since your computer came with the x86 version. Doing this fixed a few problems that I experienced when going from x86 to x64 including lag time issues.
