Problem with WordPad - how do I remove this unusual thing appearing in the File Menu?

I have a problem with WordPad, how do I remove this unusual thing appearing in the File Menu?

I opened Word Pad on my lap top (that uses Vista),
to find something appearing in the file menu appearing inbetween Page Setup and Send as "1" and when I click on "1", a copy of a document I saved elsewhere on my computer (in my download folder, from the main folder in my name, containing my files and documents) opens up, but it isn't the same copy of the document that I saved in my download folder though.

Where is the source of this "1" thing appearing in the file menu of WordPad on my computer, and how do I remove it?

How do I access such a document in: /C:\Users\Name of User\AppData\Local\Temp\Document (I want to get rid of)

Do I need to do a System Recovery to get of it/stop it appearing in the file menu of Word Pad? I don't know why it appears there.

That is a standard feature of WordPad (and, indeed, several other programs). It is merely a quick way to reload one of the last few documents that you have been working on, with 1 being the most recent followed by the others in the order that you last accessed them.

To access a document in the location you mentioned, you need to follow this Tutorial Folder Options The option you require is Show hidden files and folders.
