Aaro No, welcome to the forums, I feel your pain and anguish but you need to be a little patient, the folks here are very helpful but, put yourself in our shoes, you really have not given us enough information to begin to help you.

We need computer specs and a broaden explanation of the issue, like what were you doing before the error happened, etc, etc... just a better explanation will do the trick ;)

Anyways, the first thing I would try is to boot into safe mode and run my Antivirus and AntiMalaware just to make sure you have not contacted a virus or malaware and that is what's causing you the headaches. I suggest you run "Malwarebytes" or Spybot Search & Destroy.

If that doesn't solve anything, trying doing a RESTORE POINT to when the computer was working fine.

If that still does nothing for you, insert your Windows Vista DVD and boot with it to run a SYSTEM REPAIR

If none of the things I said work for you, my next thing would be to try to save any documents or Data I need and install a fresh Vista OS but that's just me... I am sure others may have another solution

ok im in safe mode and it is like it was yesterday i gotta press alt + ctrl+ delete to enable explorer.exe

yesterday the last things i downloaded was camtasia studio 6 with a keygen
some hacks for a game called combat arms
:( ill try downloading Malwarebytes first!

oh and do u think doing a system restore that re-installs everything work?
umm, i tried the restore points but it says that its not on and it has not created any restore points.
i tried enabling it, but on safe mode there is so system and maintenance in control panel. so i guess my only option is the anti-virus and full system restore ill also try going on my sisters user

You downloaded illegally hacked software then complain when your pc doesnt work. No offence but thiefs get what they deserve and you definetly go a virus.

My advice is to run antivirus scans on your pc then back up your data, format all partitions and reinstall vista.

but im only 13 i dont have 300 dollars for a recording program! -.-

so does this mean i have to buy a new windows id or something?

will doing full system restore work and fix it?

My Computer

OH AND I DONT HAVE A WINDOWS VISTA DVD but i can go to best buy and ask for it if i really need it cause thats where my mom bought it :geek:

i know how to do a full system restore though you think that will work?

My Computer

No you just use the same product key again. Once youv done virus scans and saved your data to dvds or hard drives click the link in my signature and it will show you how to reinstall vista. Just make sure the youv got the vista product key in front of you when you begin the reinstall, it should be on the vista box.

My Computer

Its highly unlikely a system restore will work but you can try it. Just be aware that once a virus is on your pc even after doing virus scans, system restores etc it still possible for there to be files etc on the pc that arent removed. The safest option for you and everyone else connected to the internet is for you to remove all traces of the virus by reinstalling vista.

ok
i go to control panel -> system and it says no product id
then after 10 seconds it tells me it it looks like this XXXXX-OEM-XXXXXXX-XXXXX
the x's stand for numbers and the OEM is actually there i decided to leave that
ok so when i do the system restore, it will tell me to put a product key? sorry for asking so much questions im a newb!!

AaroNo, I am glad you got that working, being said that, Stew2 is correct, you will still have some remmants of the virus on dormant files so be careful... I still suggest (as Stew 2 does) that you do a full install.

On the other hand, that you are 13 or not have the money for whatever, does not give you the right to hack or steal your way into things you want to have, what just happened to you it is natures way of telling you... wait for your turn!!! ;)
