recently i uninstalled Nero 9 only to find out that its still showing up in AutoRun and its still set as the default media player for some kinds of files. Ive tried using CCleaner as well as the Nero Clean Tool and the Windows CleanUp Uninstall Utility but have had no luck. Can anyone let me know how I can fix this irritating problem???

Make sure the program is off before trying to uninstall. I would go to msconfig (startup) and make sure the program is not checked to start at boot up, then reboot. Go to programs and delete any trace that you can find. Then go to search (Vista) and search for any trace of the program and delete everything.

Already tried that and there is absoulutely nothing showing up as Nero Files Im thinking the only way to fix this is to modify the registry which i have no idea on how to navigate to the right areas.. Any suggestions?

Gee, I only wish that I had the knowledge, as some of these guys, and knew (and had to courage) how to work on the registry. In lieu of that try this: Go to services, look for the problem program and make sure that it is set to manual.

I downloaded and ran the cleanhandlers app but its showing that there is no invalid autoplay entries... I havent found a piece of software yet that shows that Nero is still showing up anywhere. They all show no trave of NeroShowTime, however its still showing up in the AutoPlay list and is still set as the default for certain media files. I need to find out how to manually edit the corresponding registry entries I think thats the only way Im going to solve this problem. Thanks for the attempt at helping me though. If you have anymore ideas let me know.
