Windows explorer disk usage

Hi

My vista windows explorer has decided to stop showing the amount of disk usage visually with the green bar in the status bar and main window view. It seems this problem is unique as I can't find a solution or similar problem anywhere else.

I realise this is a small item but any help would be gratefully welcome.

I might suggest pop open task mgr while running internet explorer and look for internet explorer CPU usage ?
