and then click Next.

Windows installation and click Next.
6. In the System Recovery Options dialog box, click Startup Repair.

Method 2: Rebuild BCD

method, and then click Next.
4. Click Repair your computer.
5. Click the operating system that you want to repair, and then click Next.

6. In the System Recovery Options dialog box, click Command Prompt.

Method 3: Use the Windows Recovery Environment (WinRE) to run System Restore

Re: NLS data is missing or corrupt error

I tried all 3, the problem still persists.

I was wondering, is there an option to overwrite the NLS files from a functioning Vista installation?

Re: NLS data is missing or corrupt error

If you have access to another Vista machine, use a USB stick and copy the
nls files from that install to the one you cannot boot. You can do that
using a Knoppix or similar linux live cd that can write to NTFS.

Re: NLS data is missing or corrupt error

Do I only copy all the .NLS files in the system32 directory?

if you have access to your system you should run a system file checker to verify and fix the system files. it is run start>search>cmd>run as admin> sfc /scannow

let us know the results
