Dvd/cd will not work

Ever since I burned a movie to a dvd my dvd/cd drive will not allow me to watch a movie or listen to a music cd. When I insert a movie dvd my computer does not recogonize it. I go under my computer to my dvd drive and try to open it and it ejects the disk and says please insert a disk. If I insert a blank dvd +rw it recogonizes it. It is like my computer dvd/cd drive is in a permanent burn mode, not a read mode. I have uninstalled my dvd driver and reinstalled my dvd driver. Still same problem. I would appreciate any help. Thanks

Re: Dvd/cd will not work

Hello Packerfan1969, welcome.

Go into Device Manager, and find your DVD drive. Select Roll Back Driver. This might fix your problem.

Thanks. I tried to do this but my Roll Back Driver is not highlighted and will not let me click on it.

Re: Dvd/cd will not work

Try update driver for dvd

if no help Look this:

Quote:
1.Make sure the service Shell Hardware Detection is started and set to AUTO
2.Navigate to key HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\Cdrom and check you have phrase Autorun =1,if is 0 fix it + restart
3.Check also this ->DVD Drive Icon Disappeared from Computer - Fix
4.If everything fail download FrogAspi Frog Aspi - the FREE wnaspi32.dll replacement
place wnaspi32.dll in C:\Windows\SYSWOW64 again uninstall DVD driver + restart
