installing window 7

well i had a beta version of window 7, (my friend gave it to me) but i tried to install it but it did not work, wierd, so tried using xp pro oem disk, yet it stil did not work

i could not install any new os, when i press esc and chose to boot from my dvd drive, it just ignores it and boot up my pc like normally,

i need help, vista is too laggy for games
