Default font in Vista - Problem

    Hi guys,
I downloaded some new Mac fonts and I want to change the default font in Vista to one of them. I can't do that via Appearance>Advanced, because there's a limited variety of fonts to choose from.

    Help?

Hello CustomVis, and welcome to Vista Forums.

Did you save the font in the C:\Windows\Fonts folder? It should appear in the Advanced Appearance settings as font to select if you did and the font is supported by Vista.

    Hope this helps,
    Shawn

    Thanks

And yes, I did install it and it does not appear in there (quite interesting actually - I downloaded other custom fonts months ago and they don't appear there, too). The only fonts I can choose from are:

You can also use the method below to change the default font in Vista, but it doesn't affect all fonts though.

I rebooted and it doesn't seem to do anything (the reg edit)

Update: it did change some small things but the main font remains unchanged

Without then also being changed in Advanced Settings, it will not change all of the default fonts.

Can you upload the font that you are trying? I'll also test it on my system to see if it may just be an issue on your computer or not.
