| vista | big problem in recovery Ok, here is the major problem. I have an older HP laptop running XP sp3. It went to laptop heaven. I bought a new HP laptop running Vista sp1. I tried to piggy back the old hard drive in an enclosure and recovered about 70% of the data. HOWEVER. the data i really needed was in a folder called Documents and Settings. When I tried to retrieve that stuff, I got the messege that I dont have permission to look in that folder. I was thinking, of course I have permission, I own it!! (a little humor). No matter what I tried in setting permissions, I cant access that data. I even tried to use an XP machine to no avail. Any idea of what to do? |
