I just added 2bg of RAM to my Dell Inspiron 1501 (32bit OS). I replaced one of the original 512mb cards. Under properties in my computer it shows 2.5 gb like it should. However, I noticed the computer works at the same speed as it did before. I checked task manager and it shows I still have 894mb. I also ran msconfig and the maximum amount I can set is still 896mb. (I attatched a picture for more details.)
