still having this problem...

i recently bought an amd 940 and everything works fine except when i want to play games. for some reason my keyboard does not want to respond correctly. for example, i will start walking forward...still holding "w" and all the sudden i stop. i am still holding "w" down but not going anywhere. i have to let go and press it again but it continues to happen. this happens with all directional buttons as well.

problem exists in every game from crysis to halo and a few in between

now this sounds like a stupid problem from just getting a new processor but it had NO problems with my amd 7750.

Is this a USB or PS2 keyboard? If it's PS2, I'd suggest trying a USB keyboard (or vice versa).

Also, try going to Device Manager and uninstall your keyboard.
Then reboot and let Windows re-detect it.
Test to see if that fixed it.

well the weird thing about this is that it only happens during computer games and started right after i installed new processor

All I can think of is that Windows is somehow confused over how to treat your keyboard. Uninstalling the old one (and reinstalling it) should fix the issue.
