Vista memory issue

Vista is a memory hog... really slows down my computer... i fell like going back to xp

my system specs are all vista compatible hence wen i try to install a clean xp i can't because system will prompt tt i need windows xp sp2 ..

and i can burn a new xp cd and pacth it with sp2 making the installer windows xp sp2 on boot BUT MY XP CD KEY IS FOR SP1 ONLY..

an y help on how to go abt this ?

vista isnt a memory hog it never was , too many people blogging on the inetrnet and not knowing what their talking about , yes you need at LEAST 2 gig of ram for vista to run smoothly , 4 gig does help it zip along a little better but in normal day to day use you will never notice , i have gamed in vista with 2 and 4 gig and noticed no differance.

follow Brinks link and you may see a differance , pay particular attention to your startup folder in Msconfig and th services tab (hide all microsoft services first)
