Need some help please with thumbnails and flash player

I have Vista HP. It has never quite run right. I had troubles trying to view my pictures. Somewhere I read something about it. (capicom seems to ring a bell) Well anyways, if I go into my win explorer and go to my picture folders, I have to actually click on the pic to see it. It will not show me a thumbnail. Now I know (I think) there was supposed to be a fix for this via microsoft but darned if I kow what it was called for sure. I don't really know how else to describe the problem. There is also another problem with my Flash player. I can't even get it to work right. I have uninstalled and re-installed over and over and even tried to manually install it all to NO avail. Went to the Adobe site and did what it said to do but noooo...Still nothing. I am trying to use an application on facebook and it keeps telling me to install FLASH PLAYER and have done it over and over. Can't play anything because of it. I have a HP Pavillion, AMD Live, AMD Athalon 64x2 dual core Processor 4800+ and 2048 MB ram with 320 and 350 GB HD's. Can anyoneone help me with these 2 issues please and thankyou? At my wits end here lol Laura

You have set your "Views" setting to one of the "icon" sizes, right? (i.e. open Windows Explorer, click on: Views (not "View"), then select one of the icon sizes, like, for example, Extra Large Icons.)

Also, go to Windows Explorer and click on: Tools, Folder Options, View, Files and Folders, and UNcheck: "Always show icons, never thumbnails."

If these changes don't work, a great work-around might be to set Microsoft Office Picture Manager to be your default photo editor, (it is provided automatically on your HP, but isn't set as the default), and then, instead of clicking on a photo, double-click on it, and ALL of your photos will open up, just like in Explorer, and you can view (and/or edit) any or all of them.

Hello Thanks for the answer. It's already set as that. Haha....How soon one forgets eh. Unchecked the little box and yep it works AGAIN!! Thanks so much.

Looking forwards to someone helping me out with this stupid flash player 10, as well.

Moosie, you could check with the people on the Adobe Forums - just in case nobody here has the right answer. I myself never had any problem with the flash players.
