| Vista Home Premium 32bit | Please Help, Major slowdown Problem Hi users, I have had a major problem for a while now with my fujitsu siemens laptop, I can use it for about 1 week or so and the laptop will run very slow and will not allow me to access any applications, and my computer acctually crashes now, And yes I have had that annoying blue screen. I have no choice but to wipe the hard drive fully, then re-install windows vista 32bit via the Fujitsu Siemens Recovery Console, I will say I never shut my computer down, I only ever put it on hibernate because I hate waiting for it to boot up, And I do know that the hibernate feature can affect the hard drive, but I can not see why I have this problem, Please Help, Thanks Jamie |

| Vista Ultimate x64 sp2, Solaris x64 | re: Please Help, Major slowdown Problem Hello Jamie, Welcome to the Forum. I'm sorry to hear you have got problem with your lappy. It's not good idea to run the computer without shuting it down once in a while. Perheps you are right that the operating system will boot a little faster from the hibernate mode, but not always. I could say my machine will boot a lot faster when I shut it down completely than I put it in the hibernate. You could improve the booting time if you follow this tutorial. I think you might be interested in this tutorial how to speed up performance Vista as well. Hope it helps. Cheers... |

There is a good reason for me putting it in hibernate mode though, because i have to activate my laptop's WI-FI everytime i turn it on and it struggles to get hold of the connection so at least when i put it on hibernate i can continue with tthe work I was doing. but ok I will try that, thanks |
