I have gotten 3 BSOD's in a row now and have no idea why I have gotten this ... I ran the debugging tool and came up with the dump info from the last time I got it ... If anyone can give me an idea as to why this is happening I would greatly appreciate the help ... Thank You !!

This is an error involving access to the memory pool functions of the Windows Memory Manager. As fadedrs states, it's usually due to a corrupt driver.

But, corrupted memory can also cause this - whether it be your physical RAM, your pagefile, your video RAM, or even your CPU cache.

I'd suggest running the built in memory diagnostic for Vista: BC - Vista Memory Diagnostic

Also, navigate to C:\Windows\Minidump and zip up the minidump files there. Then upload the .zip file with your next post so we can massage the dump files a bit more.

More info on using the debugger is here: Diagnosing Bsod's (originally posted 02Oct08) - Vox

My Computer

Thank you for looking into my problem everyone !! Here are the minidump files in .zip form .... I hope this can help to further diagnose the issue !! I would also like to add that I have figured out that the issue happens specifically when I am using my mlb.com stream ... I have paid to watch baseball games online and have never had any issues doing so until now ... When I start the game it comes on for some time and then lockes up and goes to a BSOD immediately .... Thank you for any help you provide ....

My Computer

You stream MLB.COM! I'm envious (and a rabid Red Sox fan!)!

The streaming will affect your video, audio, and network/protection systems (and they all use the memory manager). So, please run the memory diagnostic that I recommended earlier.

And...it appears we may have gotten lucky with this one. All the errors point to kl1.sys as being at fault - and always while working in the MLB stream. This driver belongs to your Kaspersky protection package.

My advice will depend on if you have Kaspersky Antivirus or Kaspersky Internet Security installed:

Kaspersky Antivirus (KAV) installed:
- Download a new copy of KAV from the Kaspersky website
- Uninstall your current copy of KAV
- Reboot
- Install the freshly downloaded copy of KAV
- Update it immediately.

Kaspersky Internet Security (KIS) installed:
I see a lot of problems with Internet Security applications - and not just Kaspersky. When they work, they work well - but when they mess up it's sheer torture getting the problem located and fixed. As such, I do not recommend the use of Internet Security applications from any vendor.

Should you want to keep KIS anyway, follow the same steps as for KAV.
I would recommend another antivirus program, such as the free Avast Antivirus along with an anti-spyware application of your choice and the Windows Firewall (others may feel this is insufficient and recommend more protection - but that's your choice).

Here's a summary of the BSOD reports:

My Computer

i would agree with usasma it does seem to be a issue with kaspersky.

do as he suggested and hopefully that fixes the issue, if not let us know.
