We have a senior manager's laptop that is randomly hanging on explorer.exe and iexplore.exe windows. A reboot will sometimes "fix" it, but nothing else.
My primary suspect is some shell extension (dll) that one of the many programs he's installed is causing the problem. But who has the time to play disable/re-enable with over fifty 3rd-party shell extensions?
Sooo... does anyone out there know of a way to get more information on what is causing explorer.exe to hang? Specifically - what library it's hanging on.
I'd rather not install a full-blown debugger, if possible.
