Often, updating the motherboard BIOS to the latest version may solve this problem for most. You might check to see if you have a newer version available and if the readme notes for it say if it addresses this issue or not. On a 64-bit Vista, you may need to use a USB flash key to flash with if your motherboard manufacturer does not have a 64-bit flash utility though.

If you do as Brink says and use a USB flash drive you can use the EZ Flash in the Bios.
Of all the boards, Asus is one of the easiest to update the Bios on.
These are the latest Bios for your Board, as you can see the 1003 is a beta.
