Solved Vista Complete Backup problem

I have Vista Home Premium 32bit. Vista became corrupted to the point where I was not even able to start in safe mode. I managed to make a set of backup dvds through the HP backup system just before the computer completely died.

Vista Home Premium does not recognize these backup dvds, even though it does show that there are files on each of the dvds. Is there any way to retrieve the information on them? Any leads are greatly appreciated.

I think he is talking about the backup DVDs he burnt from the recovery partition. Strange though that they don't work. I would try to open the first DVD and look for the installation .exe. Then double click on that.

Thanks for the responses. They were HP backup dvds. The problem ended up being that the software HP uses to recover the data is a complete disaster. After hours and hours of searching, I found a link on another forum for a fix the software developer released.

I have no idea how the HP service reps don't know about this. In any event, here it is in case anyone else has this problem. :D
