Hope someone out there can help me solve this problem. I am currently running on a 4GB Ram 2.20GHz Intel Core2 Duo Dell XPS m1530.
I turned on my computer today and after starting up, everything looks fine until I try to do anything on the desktop. If I try to open say for example, My Computer or Mozilla, the entire computer freezes and I have to turn the computer off. When I restart in Safe Mode, things seem to be working fine.
I have not installed any new programs recently and I have already scanned for viruses/malware while in Safe mode and have come up empty. I have already done system restore to my system that was working fine two days ago and it has not solved anything.
I am hoping that it will not have to come to reinstalling the OS because I am on vacation and won't be able to get my hands on the Vista DVD until the end of august.
