New Vista64 install won't load

I had to RMA my MoBo so I got a new HDD to do a clean Vista64 install when I got my board back.

After I went into BIOS and loaded the fail safe defaults it boots from CD and it say's Windows is loading files and then the green Aero screen shows up with the large cursor and no other words are on the screen.

I've re-started my PC 6-7 times and this is where Vista gets stuck.

Is Vista supposed to shut down if you load it too many times?

Thanks for any help.

Thanks for you reply.

It took longer then my other Vista builds.

The problem was I went into BIOS and OC'd the chip before the software loaded. Then half way thru I got the BSOD and had to reload Vista. This time I went back in the BIOS and loaded the fail safe defaults and got the software to load. It just took longer.

Thanks,

Riko

you got it to work than?

if it was because of the OCing you might have OCed it to much.
