Solved Vista made in puerto rico

Hi,
a friend of mine has a copy of vista ultimate which says on the box Made in Purto Rico. Does it make any difference whether it's made in PR or in the USA? Please someone let me know ASAP since he's looking to sell it ASAP. Thank you!:cool:

Hello Heraclitus, and welcome to Vista Forums.

No, it does not matter. I have one made there as well that I ordered through Microsoft, and it's a US English version of Vista as well. It's just where they had manufactured and put together the packaging for that copy of Vista. The OS is the same though.

I had asked you another question, opportunistically since this is a Seven Forums but it seems to had gotten lost.
Anyway.
I currently have Win7 BE RC1 on one of my partitions when I get W7 Ultimate later on this Fall and I attempt to intall in the afrementioned partition, what will happen?
Keep in mind this will be the Win7 full retail version. Thanks!

You would have to do a clean install with the retail Windows 7 on that partition with the RC build, but nothing will happen other than losing the RC installation to be replaced by the retail version. :)

OK so here's where it gets a little "complicated." I'll need to make it dual boot with XP will the Acronis settings be maintained when I do the clean install? That's the program that controls the dual boot functionality.

Not a problem. Just follow this tutorial below instead. During the installation of the retail Windows, select the RC partition to format and install to.

Dual Boot Installation with Windows 7 and XP - Windows 7 Forums

Acronis is just a backup program, it does not control the boot file. You would need to create a new Acronis backup afterwards to have the new installation of Windows 7 included in it though.
