HP DV7 1245DX laptop pc

yeah i got this laptop and i bought it brand new and have not had a problem with it at all. but i do want to up it ro 8 GB or ram because i do alot of intensive programs at once. but the one thing i wish i could do is make my processor faster. is there some way i can do this with out having to take it apart? please get back with me and let me know.

You cant. I have attempted to OC the Turion on my Dv7 and you cant. What are you running that you need more CPU for? I run 3D CAD with mine and it works great. Only way to upgrade is to take it apart and upgrade the cpu that way.

okay yeah i mean it runs good but i do use ZUNE converting long videos like movies and **** and they are HD quality and all. plus i watch movies as well when im doing these things. i mean its a damn good laptop i just wish the GHZ was just alittle faster. but i mean its worth it though. i think when i up the ram to 6 or 8 it will help out alot. but thanks for letting me know man. have a good one today.

Would it help if you lowered the virtual ram?

goto start (orb) right click on computer goto advanced system settings. On the ADVANCED tab click performance settings. On the new window click advanced. click virtual memory. set it what you want

Disabling Aero can free up a lot of resources when working with video.
