Desktop Icon mover

I don't a lot of stuff and usually it all ends up on the desktop. It usually stays there for a while and annoys me. Is there a way that I can download to desktop ,but as soon as the file hits the desktop its moved to another file. So there is no desktop icons at all?

By default Vista sends my downloads to Downloads.

If a third-party utility is doing the download, typically there is a Save As...
pop-up showing the destination folder. Change that to what you want and the
location will be preserved by cookie.

Alternately you could choose or create a folder you want your downloads in
and make a shortcut on your Desktop.

When the downloads start to pile up, drag and drop them on the shortcut.
