| vista home premium 32 bit | logon to my computer fails have a dell inspiron 1525/1526 with vista home edition. Yesterday, when I attempted to login to my computer I got this message: "The User Profile Service service failed the logon. User profile cannot be loaded". How to I fix this so I can use my computer?? I am sure the password is correct. |

Have you tried booting in safe mode? does it fail there? is there another user account to try? if not there is a way to enable the built in admin account but you might want to try the safeboot first. Ken |

| vista home premium 32 bit | Re: logon to my computer fails Got into safe mode and was able to do system restore back about 3 days. There was a microsoft auto update that ran between that time and now. maybe somehow that caused the problem. But after running the system restore I had no problem logging on my computer. Thanks anyway!! |
